Abstract
On the one hand, Petri nets are a powerful graphical and formal tool to model real-life dynamic systems. Special attention in research and applications is focused on the so-called high-level Petri nets enabling us to obtain much more succinct and expressive descriptions than can be obtained by means of low-level Petri nets. On the other hand, ontologies specify the concepts and relationships among them comprising the vocabulary from real-life areas. In the paper, we propose a new model of high-level Petri nets, called Petri nets over ontological graphs. In the new model, we try to combine the graphic power of Petri nets with the semantic power of ontologies. The new type of Petri nets is used by us to model, at the abstract level, some tasks performed by robots.
