Abstract

We have often encountered that da'wah can be done by various methods. One of them is da'wah with songs, where since ancient times many have done da'wah through poetry or praise. Where in a song, of course, there is a da'wah message that is implied in the song created by the creator, in addition to the message of da'wah in a song, of course it also has a compatibility of meaning in real life between the songwriter or singer and the song he created. This study uses a qualitative method with a da'wah study approach and hermeneutic content analysis and there are several principles of Islamic communication to strengthen the theory of the da'wah method. Where in delivering da'wah must be based on words that come from the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad SAW. contained in the Hadith. Song lyrics as the basis of a song in order to produce songs that have a good message or meaning. As for paying attention to the lyrics of the song accompanied by listening to the music to be analyzed with some of the principles of Islamic Communication and the hermeneutics. This study explains how the message of da'wah contained in a lyric of the song "Sapu Jagat" which can then be heard by the public and the meaning contained in it can be well received by listeners. Where from the results of the study it was explained that the message of da'wah contained in the lyrics of the song "Sapu Jagat" by the Sabyan Band Group was the prayer of Sapu Jagat tucked into the lyrics of the song. With a sense of guilt and many problems make surrender and surrender to Allah SWT. believe that God's way is the best for all of us. In addition to using hermeneutic analysis, this can be seen from the comments of netizens who have uploaded the video clip of the song on Sabyan's youtube channel.
