Abstract

The effects of ground state correlations and core polarization have been included in the effective particle-hole interaction and transition moments by second order perturbation theory. Energy levels and transition probabilities of 3 − collective state in 40Ca and 48Ca were calculated in Tamm-Dancoff approximation and compared with the results obtained by using the random phase approximation.
