Abstract

The contribution of core polarization to the 6Li wave function is evaluated in lowest order (single bubble) and in the Tamm-Dancoff and random-phase approximations. The effects of core polarization on various electromagnetic transitions, β-decay rates, and threshold pion-photo-production in the A = 6 system are then determined.
