Abstract

Two studies, one completed and one in progress, are presented from their methodological perspectives. While they are both surveys, the initial undertaking utilized nonquantitative research techniques, the findings of which serve as the baseline and point of departure for the current effort, an investigation applying quantitative methods for data analysis and validation. The research demonstrates that using nonquantitative research techniques independently not only is feasible, but is a requisite first step for determining and understanding the factors to be analyzed later
