Abstract
We report a case of persistent atypical right upper quadrant abdominal pain secondary to duodenal and aortic wall perforation by an inferior vena cava (IVC) filter. We review a patient with duodenal and aortic perforation by an IVC filter treated with open removal of the filter and repair of the duodenum. Similar cases were identified through different health science libraries/databases and a detailed analysis performed.
