Abstract

The development of the green product for batik is very important to reduce the impact of waste pollution in Pekalongan City. The aim of this research is to determine the level of public perception regarding efforts to develop the green industry standart for Batik in Pekalongan City as an implementation step to reduce the impact of batik waste pollution. The met hod used is descriptive qualitative with data collection using purposive sampling. The research results show that the level of public perception regarding the definition of green product for batik and government policies regarding green product for batik shows that 68% and 65% of them understand. The response to public perception regarding the concept of the green industry standart for batik and its implementation showed that the percentages of 63% and 62% were aware. The perception of public knowledge about green industry branding and the impact of health risks shows that 57% and 72% of batik procucers know. Apart from that, 73% of people's perception of knewing about management procedures for managing batik materials and 65% also know about waste management. Overall, batik manufacturer in Pekalongan City already understand the procedures for managing the batik industry and the introduction of the concept of green product for batik. The conclusion from the research results shows that the level of public perception regarding efforts to develop the green industry standart in Pekalongan City is very well. The level of public perception regarding efforts to develop green industry standards for the batik industry in Pekalongan City is very good. The research results show that on average 62% -73% of batik manufacturer in Pekalongan City understand the implementation of green industry standards for the batik industry.
