Abstract

Background: Various countries have made efforts to stop the transmission of the covid 19 virus with various policies issued by their respective countries including the implementation of Health protocols and accelerated vaccination programs to create herd immunity (communal immunity).
 Objective: This study aims to find out the public's perception of removing the Covid-19 mask in Camba-Camba Village, Kec. Batang Kab. Jeneponto
 Method: this study uses a qualitative method. The informant in this study was the village head. The head of the hamlet, youth leaders, religious leaders and the Camba-Camba Village Community. The data collection technique used was in-depth interviews. The technique used was a qualitative descriptive analysis technique.
 Results: public perception about removing the covid-19 mask in Camba- Camba Village, Kec. Batang Kab. Jeneponto considers the release of the use of masks as a form of government in preventing or handling the spread of COVID-19 and as a form of eliminating public fear and concern about Covid-19.
 Conclusion: research results can still develop for the better and get better data too
