Abstract

In carrying out the Arabic language learning process, of course there are several factors that support or hinder the learning process. One of them is the use of teaching materials as a source or media in learning. In this study, researchers focused on students' perceptions of the use of teaching materials in the form of the Kifayatul Ashhab book in the learning process. The background of this study is because the learning process used in the classroom tends to be classical and boring, thus giving rise to various perceptions among students. The formulation of the problem in this study is how Arabic Language Education students perceive the use of the Kifayatul Ashhab book and how the Kifayatul Ashhab book is applied as the only teaching material used in learning. The purpose of writing this work is to obtain information about the perceptions of Arabic Language Education students towards the Kifaytul Ashhab Book in learning Nahwu IV in classes A-k. The research method used by the researcher is a qualitative method. While the data collection techniques used by the researcher in this work are interview / interview and observation techniques. The results of the research conducted by the researcher are that learning Nahwu IV using textbook teaching materials is boring and difficult for the majority of students in the class. Meanwhile, regarding the application of textbook teaching materials, it is emphasized on the methods used and their evaluation.
