Abstract

This paper reports the preparation and the physicochemical and electrochemical characterization of perovskite membranes with the general formula La1-xSrxFeO3 (x= 0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1) for application as oxygen-carrier materials in a dense membrane reactor for hydrogen production by the Chemical Looping Reforming method. Dense perovskite membranes with relative densities between 92% and 98% are prepared by uniaxial pressing and sintering at optimum conditions. The total conductivity of the prepared dense membranes is determined with Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy as a function of temperature and Sr-content
