Abstract
Permissible stresses for wing and fuselage structures are given for passenger (transport) aircraft according to fatigue, fail-safe, and damage tolerance criteria. Permissible fatigue stresses are determined for securing the lifetime of modern aircraft. Permissible stresses according to fail-safe criteria are determined for securing the normalized residual strength of the structure with regulated damages. Permissible stresses according to the damage tolerance criterion are determined for securing the economic efficiency of the maintenance checkup periodicity.
