Abstract

<p><em>The development of a student's ability to understand the material taught in the learning process is greatly influenced by the cognitive abilities of students. The ability of students in the thematic learning process really needs to pay attention to cognitive development which is closely related to the development and growth of students. MIN 1 Bantul strives to implement the learning process by paying attention to the development of students. MIN 1 Bantul strives to implement the learning process by paying attention to the development of students. In addition, one of the efforts made is the preparation of thematic learning in MIN 1 Bantul paying attention to the standards of the educational process, the learning process that adheres to Piaget's theory of cognitive development, and the thematic learning process using and holding cognitive theory. According to Piaget the learning process at the age of 7-12 is called the concrete operational stage. This research to determine whether cognitive development can have an impact on the progress of student learning outcomes. This type of research is qualitative research. The population of this study was MIN 1 Bantul teachers, the data collection method in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. The technical data analysis used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the cognitive development of students will have a good effect on the progress of student learning outcomes, both the learning process and the final results of student learning outcomes.
