Abstract
AbstractThis work manifests the synthesis of an amine functionalized organic cage NCa, using dynamic covalent imine chemistry offering facile proton transfer from picric acid (PA) to NCa, provide a remarkable selectivity for PA and function as a chemosensor. Owing to presence of electron rich environment at its periphery, this cage was outstanding in selectivity for the explosive picric acid. Theoretical studies revealed an unusual electron transfer takes place in ground‐state from picrate anion to the chemosensor NCa and simultaneous occurrence of FRET from protonated NCa to picrate. In addition to this, direct contact mode analysis is carried out for rapid practical applications and results were satisfactory.
