Abstract

Objective To summarize the perioperative experience of nursing for patients with meningiomas of tentorial ineisures (MTI). Methods Nursing data of clinical therapy of 22 microsurgery resection patients with MTI were summarized retrospectively. Results The morbidity and mortality of early postoperative complications of MTI were 31.8% (7/22) and 0, respectively. The complications included acute hydrocephalus (2 cases), visual acuity and visual field impairment (4 cases ), hemiparalysis (2 cases ), cranial nerves impairment (3 cases), sensory aphasia, pulmonary infection and gastrorrhagia. Conclusions Doing the psychological nursing well, enforcing the ward visits, eliminating the risk factors resulted in trauma and preventing the trauma preoperatively, monitoring the changes of breath and SpO2 closely, preventing or treating the complications such as cerebral hemorrhage and edema effectively, and carrying out early functional exercise of limbs and cranial nerves postoperatively are important for the patients' recovery.
