Abstract

Periodic perturbation of the dielectric medium following Bragg's law and equalizing mode velocities together suppress the first spurious response in coupled-line filters. The design parameters are calculated using the classical coupled-line filter design. Fabricating a Chebyshev filter; for the bisected unit cell, spurious response suppression of 35 dB is achieved. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
