Abstract

Multiculturalism is primarily related to the interaction and enrichment of national cultures, recognition of moral values and norms. When Heydar Aliyev was in power, he had a tolerant attitude to all people, regardless of their religion, language, or race, and this attitude became one of the fundamental elements of our state and the philosophy of Azerbaijanism. The flourishing of multiculturalism in our country is directly related to the name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The Great Leader Heydar Aliyev believed that race, religion, nationality, and material wealth could never lead to the superiority of one person over another. The National leader paid special attention to the development of Azerbaijani culture, as a result of this development, the model of “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” was formed in the modern stage of our civilization. The “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” model is already actively used in foreign countries. This model includes various ethno-cultural traditions such as, household, religion, ethics, aesthetics, etc. It is characterized by uniting national value system. At present, the “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” model has become an effective tool for maintaining stability and peace in the region and eliminating conflicts related to it on a global scale. The Great Leader rendered invaluable services in the formation and development of the “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” model. Heydar Aliyev maintained his loyalty to his nation and religion while working in high positions during the years of Soviet rule, and attached great importance to multicultural values.
