Abstract

Perichondral arthroplasty can selectively be applied to restore function and limit pain in adolescents and youngadults with traumatic, postinfectious, or inflammatory arthritis of the small joints in the hand in cases in which more common treatments, such as silastic arthroplasty or fusion, are, undesirable alternatives.
