Abstract
In grid connected applications, the efficiency of systems is strongly affected by the employed phase locked loop (PLL) strategy. This paper presents a comparative study of three PLL structures applied to a grid-connected renewable energy system with a nominal power of 7 MW. To select the suitable structure dedicated to previously mentioned application, we will evaluate the performance of the PLL techniques under distorted and unbalanced supply voltages. Several simulations test with a disturbed three phase utility grid using MATLAB-Simulink/SimpowerSystem are presented to valid the theoretical study.
