Abstract

In this paper, we present analytical bit-error probability expressions of an asynchronous fast frequency-hopped multiple-access system over fading channels with multiple-access interference modeled as alpha-stable noise. Various diversity-combining receivers over both Rician fading and Rayleigh fading channels are analyzed based on the Fourier-Bessel series. Numerical results under various environments show that the two non-linear diversity-combining methods significantly outperform the linear-combining receiver
