Abstract

In this paper, the bit error rate performance for non-coherent diversity in frequency selective generalized slow Rician fading channel is studied. Closed expressions for BPSK and BFSK digital modulation signals are derived. Since the generalized Rayleigh fading channel is a special case of the generalized Rician fading channel where the line-of-sight component is disappeared, the expressions for the Rayleigh fading channel can be obtained at the same time, and the derived expressions can be verified by comparison with the results for the Rayleigh fading channel. The presented results are useful in studying the performance of digital modulation signals transmission over mobile fading channels.
