Abstract
Accurate performance predictions are vital for selection and design of efficient screw compressors and their systems. During screw compressor developments, reliable performance data can considerably minimise the costly and time consuming testing of physical prototypes. Software packages for screw compressors may include various performance prediction methods in order to allow both, selection of compressors for a particular application and performance prediction in the design of a new machine.
