Abstract

Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs) are used in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) as a dedicated trigger device. Moreover, they contribute to the muon identification and reconstruction alongside Drift Tubes and Cathode Strip Chambers. The RPC detector performance after more than one year of LHC operation is reported here.
