Abstract

In this paper, carbonation reaction experiments were conducted using sodium humate modified K2CO3 absorber (HA-Na/KHCO3). The effects of carbonation temperature, CO2 concentration, doping amount and number of regeneration cycle reactions on the carbonation performance of HA-Na modified absorber were investigated. Under the optimum conditions of carbonation reaction (80°C, 20 min, 15% CO2, 65% N2, 20% H2O) and regeneration reaction (200°C, 30 min, 40% N2, 60% H2O), the optimum doping amount of HA-Na was 30%. HA-Na improved the surface structure of K2CO3 crystals, which led to the improvement of K2CO3 carbonation properties. In addition, we used X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze the properties of the calcined sorbents.
