Abstract

Numerical simulations for periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) optical parametric oscillators (OPO) with different cavity configurations are shown in this paper. The thermal effects of PPLN are investigated. The power variation caused by the mode matching in different cavity configurations and the thermal relaxation of the PPLN OPO are observed in the experiments. These results can be explained by the mode changing due to the thermal lens effect.
