Abstract
Recent research on electromagnetic wave showed that it could carry orbital angular momentum (OAM). OAM provides a new degree of freedom for electromagnetic waves, which can increase the number of transmission channels for electromagnetic waves and thus enhance the capacity of wireless communication system. However, the overall shape of the OAM electromagnetic wave is an inverted cone. It diverges outward and the center is concave with zero energy, so it has a high requirement for the size of the receiving antenna, and also has the problem of energy divergence in the transmission. In this paper, we built the mathematical model of OAM electromagnetic wave generated by plate antenna array and deduced the mathematical expression of this kind of OAM electromagnetic wave. Then we used simulation software to simulate the OAM electromagnetic wave and analyzed the influence of different model parameters on the energy divergence Angle of OAM electromagnetic wave.
