Abstract

In view of the words depleting a fossile fuel reserve, which provides the major source of energy, the development of non-conventional renewable energy source has received an impetus. Solar energy is most important among renewable energy sources due to its quantitative abundance. The simplest and the most efficient way to utilize solar energy is to convert it into thermal energy for heating applications. The most important and basic components of the system required of a solar energy into thermal energy is called solar cooker. A solar cooker is a device designed to absorb the incoming solar radiant energy converting into thermal energy at the absorbing surface and transferring this energy through the vessel of the solar cooker. To designed, and conduct experiments on single reflector box type solar cooker with two different Heat absorber systems and to analyze theoretically the performance of this system for different operating conditions and to optimize the system parameters
