Abstract

OFDMA (Orthogonal frequency division multiple access) is a bliss for LTE (Long Term Evaluation) System, but due to its disadvantage of having high PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio), the terminal size is increased and as a result overall system cost increases. The substitution for this problem is SCFDMA (Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access) for uplink Transmission System. In this paper, PAPR for different subcarrier mapping is compared in MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) SCFDMA using STBC (Space Time Block Code). Also performance of BER (Bit Error rate) for different number of transmitter is compared. STBC is a spatial diversity technique in which signals are coded through the transmit antenna creating redundancy and thus reduces outage probability. The output shows that IFDMA (Interleaved Frequency Division Multiple Access) is better as compared with LFDMA (Localized Frequency Division Multiple Access) in PAPR.
