Abstract

This paper describes a more generalized transform domain receiver for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. The proposed receiver is motivated by the equivalence of the transmitted signal forms between DS-CDMA in the time domain and multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) in the transform domain. Bit error rate (BER) performance with maximum ratio combining (MRC) of the receiver is obtained. Finally, compared with the conventional RAKE receiver, the BER performance in uplink channels with frequency-selective Rayleigh fading is shown by computer simulation.
