Abstract

AbstractAn optical disk drive system must realize high precision tracking control. For this purpose, the tracking control system that combined a robust feedback controller and a zero phase error feedforward tracking controllertracking control system has been proposed. This proposed feedforward tracking control system effectively suppresses the tracking error caused by track eccentricity. However, it is sometimes difficult for a conventional feedforward tracking control system to realize high precision tracking control. Hence, this paper proposes a new perfect tracking control (PTC) system that uses a prediction state observer. Numerical simulation results and experimental results confirm that the proposed system effectively suppresses the tracking error for a disk rotation speed of 8000[rpm] and operates stably. Therefore, the proposed system realizes high precision tracking control.
