Abstract

Abstract Image-guided percutaneous therapies can provide symptomatic relief, palliation or cure in several musculoskeletal diseases commonly seen in the pediatric population. To ensure prompt referral and treatment, it is important that radiologists and referring clinicians are aware of current techniques available to treat these pathologies. This article covers background, current applications and technical considerations regarding percutaneous treatment of some of the most common pediatric musculoskeletal disorders encountered in a pediatric interventional radiology department.
