Abstract
Traumatic dental injuries (TDI) are highly prevalent lesions in the school environment and its consequences can negatively affect psychological well-being. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to evaluate the perception and management of TDI cases by public elementary school teachers in the city of Belém, in Amazon region. Data were collected, focusing on previous training in first aid on TDI, and its effect on their knowledge and attitudes towards dental avulsion in permanent teeth. Our results show the low level of information on management and the need for teaching training in their work environment.
