Abstract

The paper presents findings from an empirical study to determine the general perception and relevance of concurrent engineering (CE) in Singapore's manufacturing industry. The study surveys on what constitute a conducive corporate CE environment, especially the soft enabling factors for CE; and identifies potential barriers to successful CE implementation in Singapore's manufacturing environment, with respect to achieving better product development performance. >
