Abstract
This research examines the role of the Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) Muhammadiyah in addressing the negative impacts of online gambling in Indonesia. The phenomenon of online gambling has become a serious issue affecting financial stability, mental health, and moral integrity within society. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the strategies and programs implemented by MPM Muhammadiyah, including education, skills training, and counseling services. The findings indicate that MPM Muhammadiyah has successfully raised public awareness of the risks associated with online gambling and provided positive alternatives to reduce dependency on gambling activities. The establishment of a specialized Task Force (Satgas) also provides a structured approach to addressing this issue. Collaboration with various stakeholders is crucial to maintaining the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of these programs. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji peran Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) Muhammadiyah dalam menanggulangi dampak negatif perjudian online di Indonesia. Fenomena perjudian online telah menjadi masalah serius yang mempengaruhi stabilitas keuangan, kesehatan mental, dan integritas moral masyarakat. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi dan program yang diterapkan oleh MPM Muhammadiyah, termasuk edukasi, pelatihan keterampilan, dan layanan pendampingan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa MPM Muhammadiyah berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan risiko perjudian online dan menyediakan alternatif positif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada aktivitas perjudian. Pembentukan Satuan Tugas (Satgas) khusus juga memberikan pendekatan terstruktur dalam menangani masalah ini. Kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak penting untuk menjaga keberlanjutan dan efektivitas program ini dalam jangka panjang.
