Abstract

The research focuses on the involvement of Civics teachers in addressing juvenile delinquency among students, particularly in SMP Negeri 2 Teras. The study aims to determine the role of Civics teachers in tackling delinquency in school using a descriptive qualitative approach that involves observations, interviews, and documentation. The study aims to provide an overview of the Civics teacher's role in addressing juvenile delinquency. The study found that while the Civics teacher's role has been effective, some students still violate school rules, and teachers must maximize their role as a guide, moral agent, and role model. The study identifies various factors contributing to juvenile delinquency in Teras 2 Public Middle School, including lack of parental attention, the influence of the environment, and inadequate supervision. These factors affect students' behavior both inside and outside school.
