Abstract

This study aims to find out how the description of the teacher's role in Civics learning is to form the curious character of elementary school students. This research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis, qualitative research is research to understand human or social phenomena in a comprehensive manner which is made in detail based on sources and facts. The results of the research on the role of the teacher in Civics learning to form the character of elementary school students' curiosity are quite good, the role of the teacher as a communicator, motivator, inspirer, evaluator and class manager in forming the character of students' curiosity in Civics learning is carried out well, research shows that there are two the inhibiting factor for the formation of the character of student curiosity is the personality factor of the student and also the factor of the teacher who does not understand student character.
