Abstract

From the results of this research note there is no special place for pulmonary TB patient services at the community health center. Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious disease that remains a public health is expected to improve in the future, in Indonesia, even becomes the primary cause of death from infectious diseases. Pulmonary tuberculosis infection is high enough numbers, especially in attacking the most productive age group, the economically weak and poorly educated. This study aims to identify some of the roles and behavior of health workers on TB programs in Tangerang district at community health center level. Similarly, the problem extension, while the number of health workers in the area of research that can help the success of TB programs is still lacking. Therefore, health professionals see as an information mediator at community informants said they can not work optimally because of lack of staff, health workers sometimes bring drugs directly to patients, but does not solve the problem, because patients would not eat drugs with reason to feel queasy and uncomfortable. Specific guidance related to pulmonary tuberculosis is still outstanding.
