Abstract
The essay presents a large variety of meanings attributed to the vision by some thinkers of the circle of Lorenzo de' Medici. In particular, the analysis of the works of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola and Marsilio Ficino allows to study the dichotomy between sensitive knowledge and intelligible knowledge starting from the dialectic between vision and blindness of the mind's eye.
