Abstract
Open Educational Resources (OERs) seeks to overcome all barriers to learning through diverse actions, involving library work in a variety of initiatives oriented toward strong values. This column frames this work by putting people ahead of programs and programs above personalities. Doing so, it brings together reflective threads stemming from an online session hosted by ACRL’s Leadership Discussion Group, in April 2023. After weighing OE’s goals toward epistemic justice, the piece reserves space for readers’ own reflections and work assessing the value of Open Education as a tool for meaningful change.
