Abstract

Abstract:
Gastritis is an inflammation that affects the gastric mucosa, where this inflammation can result in gastric swelling and the detachment of superficial mucosal epithelium, which is a major cause of digestive system disorders. Common symptoms of gastritis include epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, feeling of fullness, vomiting of blood, belching, and autoimmune symptoms. This study aims to describe the implementation of community service activities in the form of health education about gastritis to families in Kesambi Village, Bandung District, Tulungagung. This community service activity involves distributing pre-post test questionnaires to measure participants' initial and final levels of knowledge, as well as health education about gastritis. Participant participation in this activity reached 100%, with all participants staying engaged throughout the event. A total of 60% of participants actively asked questions during the education session. The total number of participants involved in this activity was 45 people. The results of this community service activity show an increase in participants' knowledge about gastritis after attending health education sessions.
