Penyuluhan Kesadaran Masyarakat Berwawasan Lingkungan di Desa Sukatenang Kecamatan Sukawangi Kabupaten Bekasi

Abstract

Environmental problems are one of human obligations to be managed properly according to the mandate of God Almighty, so that every human being has responsibility for environmental sustainability. In the current reality, the increasing global warming can lead to climate change so that it can exacerbate the decline in environmental quality. Based on this, it is necessary to protect and manage the environment, in order to better guarantee legal certainty and provide protection for everyone's right to a good and healthy environment. In realizing the realization of environmental health, an active role of the community is needed in achieving environmental health development. This means that development will only be implemented if it is carried out with the involvement of all levels of society in accordance with their respective potentials. Sukatenang Village is one of the villages located in Sukawangi District, Bekasi Regency. It has approximately a population of 11,056 inhabitants. The environmental arrangement in Sukatenang Village is quite well-organized, but there is still garbage on the side of the road and empty land. Looking at the profile of Sukatenang Village as above, an activity program can be arranged that refers to the role of lecturers and students as academic actors to promote educated and environmentally friendly villagers. In its implementation, Community Awareness Education with Environmental insight is carried out. Before the counseling was carried out, the residents of Sukatenang Village, Sukawangi District, Bekasi Regency had a low level of environmental insight. With the existence of "Environmentally Insight Community Awareness Extension Program in Sukatenang Village". The community shows changes in their environmentally conscious behavior and it is hoped that this can always be applied in this Sukatenang village and can be imitated by other villages.
