Abstract
Anemia is a state of low red blood cell count and below normal hemoglobin or hematocrit levels. Nutritional anemia is caused by a lack of nutrients that play a role in the formation of hemoglobin, which can be duo to lack of consumption or absorbption disorders. Adolescent girls are one of the groups thats are prone to anemia. Anemia is also directly affected by consumption of daily foods that lack iron. In female adolescent, the need for additional iron is needed to balance the loss of iron due to menstrual blood, resulting in an increased need for iron to replace total blood loss. The importance of counseling / community service is aimed at increasing the knowledge and awareness of adolescent about anemia and its treatment. The form of activity carried out is counseling / providing education to teenagers at SMAN 1 Gringsing. The counseling activities carried out went well, the participants seemed enthhusiastic in participanting in the counseling activities. This is evidenced by the activities running in an orderly and orderly manner, the enthusiastic participants listening to the counseling and ending with a photo with the service team.
