Abstract
The importance of teaching God's Word in the Church is something that believers urgently understand because, currently, many people have neglected to study God's Word. Jesus, who was an example in studying God's Word, will be an example of the importance of studying God's Word, the narrative of which is recorded in Luke 2: 40-52. This research uses a qualitative method by interpreting the narrative in Luke 2:40-52 to see why it is important to study God's Word. The results of the interpretation found that studying God's Word is essential to know Jesus correctly, grow spiritually, develop loyalty, and commit to carrying out God's will. AbstrakPentingnya Pengajaran Firman Allah dalam Gereja sudah merupakan hal yang mendesak di pahami oleh orang percaya karena pada saat ini ada banyak orang yang sudah mengabaikan pembelajaran Firman Tuhan. Yesus yang menjadi teladan dalam belajar Firman Tuhan akan menjadi teladan untuk melihat pentingnya belajar Firman Tuhan yang narasinya di catat di Lukas 2: 40-52. Metode dalam penelitian ini mengunakan metode Kualitatif dengan menafsirkan narasi yang ada di Lukas 2:40-52 untuk melihat mengapa penting belajar Firman Tuhan. Dari hasil tafsiran maka ditemukan Pentingnya belajar Firman Tuhan adalah: untuk mengenal Yesus dengan benar, untuk menumbuhkan kerohanian, untuk menubuhkan kesetiaan dan untuk menumbuhkan komitmen dalam menjalankan kehendak Allah.
