Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) was the 18th most common death cause annually, that often associated with elderly, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. CKD treatment that available now deemed less effective because it only postpone the progression od the disease. Pentoxyfilline (PTX) was one of treatment that can be used as complementary therapy in CKD. PTX can deliver renoprotective effect. Also, it can resolve proteinuria problem in patient with diabetic neuropathy. Therefore, PTX can be used as complementary therapy in patient with CKD
