Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in the development of cognitive abilities through playing monopoly with loosepart media in group A children at DARUL HIKMAH Kindergarten. This type of research is classroom action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely (1) action planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subjects of this research were group A at DARUL HIKMAH Kindergarten, totaling 10 children. The object of research is children's cognitive abilities through the monopoly media MAK ROUND. Data collection techniques used in this research include: observation, interviews/question and answer, and documentation. The research instrument used in this research is an observation sheet that has been validated by experts. The cognitive development indicators studied include four development standards, namely recognizing simple classifications, recognizing numbers, recognizing arithmetic operations, and recognizing geometric shapes. Before being given treatment (pre-cycle) using MONOPOLY MAK ROUND, of the four standards for the development of cognitive abilities, there was only one development standard that was above the average standard of completeness, namely recognizing numbers with an average of 30.5 and a percentage of 76.25%. After treatment in cycle I, four development standards increased and all of them were above the average completion standard.
