Abstract

A research instrument is used to gather data or measure objects in a research study. The main objective of this research is to assess the credibility and consistency of the research tool designed to evaluate the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the Academic Information System website at Universitas Sangga Buana. This research instrument takes the form of a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions, which were formulated based on five out of the ten heuristic evaluation principles. The results of the validity assessment indicate that all the questions included in the questionnaire are indeed valid. This determination is made by comparing the calculated R-value with the table R-value, which exceeds the threshold of 0.374. The reliability test demonstrates that the research instrument can be considered reliable. This conclusion is drawn from the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which surpasses the acceptable minimum value of 0.6 and reaches an impressive 0.944. Based on the positive results from both the validity and reliability assessments, it can be confidently concluded that this research instrument successfully meets the required criteria. Therefore, it is highly suitable for measuring the performance of the UI and UX of the Academic Information System website at Universitas Sangga Buana. This instrument offers a reliable and valid means of gathering essential data to assess and enhance the user interface and user experience of the website, thereby contributing to its overall effectiveness and usability).
