Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the use of the Malay language in management and administration in schools in Sri Aman district, Sarawak. The study that uses this survey design has used questionnaires as research instruments. Respondents consisted of 140 school administrators consisting of principals, head teachers, senior assistant teachers, senior subject teachers and chief administrative assistants. Structured interviews involved ten informants consisting of administrators selected based on their experience as administrators for at least 3 years. Data analysis is done descriptively displayed in the form of frequency and percentage. It is hoped that this study will be able to be a reference for Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) to form a Malay language guideline for management and administration matters.
