Abstract

According to Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning health, articles 4 and 5 state that everyone has the same opportunity to obtain access to health. The form of community empowerment in the health sector or Community Resource Health Efforts (UKBM) is a government breakthrough through Active Alert Village and Subdistrict Development since 2006 so that people can access basic health services easily and can develop UKBM and carry out community-based surveillance. Poskestren is one of the UKBMs that focuses on empowering Islamic boarding schools. The aim is for the Islamic boarding school community to understand the problems they face, plan and make efforts to solve them by utilizing local potential as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2013 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation and Development of Islamic Boarding School Health Posts. Postkestren activities prioritize promotive and preventive services, without ignoring curative and rehabilitative aspects, with a spirit of mutual cooperation and assistance from local health centers assisted by postkestren cadres. The result of this service activity is a change in the level of knowledge and understanding of participants about postkestren after being given education. Based on the paired t-test, it is known that the t-value = -14.198, df = 29 and p-value = 0.000, it can be concluded that there is a statistical difference between the average pre-test score (before education) and the post average score -test (after education).
