Abstract

This study found that teaching implementers tend to only use the lecture method and cause students difficulties in learning. The lack of learning resources helps students facilitate their understanding resulting in low student learning outcomes in poetry writing skills. This goal is to improve the poetry writing skills of fourth graders at SDN Bongas Wetan II. This research method uses Desain and Development (DnD). Data was collected by means of interviews, observation sheets, tests, validation of media experts and student response questionnaires. The results of this study are sometimes the media is only used when the level of difficulty of the material to be taught. Pop-Up Book media design using duplex paper. For the assessment of learning media validation is 90.66%. The end of the material validation is 90.66%. Student response to learning media 96%. This means that the Pop-Up Book learning media is very feasible to use.
