Abstract

The research has the following objectives: (1) Knowing the development of E-comic media "" on social studies subjects, student market material "(2) Determining the level of effectiveness of E-comics in social studies subjects, student market materials. "This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a development model according to" Sugiyono. According to Sugiyono, the development model consists of seven stages, namely: "potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, product revision, product testing, and product revision". "Media validation" is carried out by media experts and experts " material. "The media developed was tested on 30 grade VIII students of MTs Fathus Salafi Mangaran, Situbondo." The data analysis techniques used were quantitative and qualitative. " At the assessment stage, the researcher did not carry out it in the classroom because of Covid-19 which made schools closed. So the researchers visited each residence of class VIII students of MTs Fathus Salafi to fill out a questionnaire sheet. "The results of the research and development carried out were in the form of learning media" E-comics which can be accessed online. The media developed gets good judgment from experts. The results obtained from media experts get a percentage value of 83% which is included in the valid category, from material experts who get a percentage value of 93% which is included in the very category. As for the student assessment "that is, getting a percentage value of 90%" which is included in the very category "valid.
