Abstract

This study aimed at finding out how learning develop the kindergarten children’s artistic talent and the factors related to the development of the artistic talents. This research was conducted in Ratna Kumara Kindergarten at the Medahan village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar, Bali involving 40 children. As a qualitative case study, this research collected data by observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis used Spradley techniques. The results found out: (a) the artistic talent is developed through a child’s individual stimulation such as yoga, meditation, traditional games, singing, playing music and storytelling and in addition it can be done using social stimulation such as creative movement, role play, cooperative works; and (b) some factors supporting the success of children to develop their artistic talent that teachers should know such as the knowledge and understanding of children’s education, ability to create joyful learning, to show a close relationship and a good working team of fellow teachers, establish good communication and cooperation with parents, and the support of adequate learning facilities and comfortable healthy environment.

METODE PENELITIAN

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini pihak guru juga dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana peneliti dilibatkan sejumlah 2 orang guru dan 1 kepala sekolah memfokuskan dengan beberapa pembatasan pada serta 5 orang tua anak yang juga menjadi informan penelusuran untuk menemukan interaksi yang guna mendukung seluruh data penelitian. Kepala Sekolah : “Sebetulnya banyak strategi yang kita lakukan dalam pengembangan bakat seni anak, seperti dengan mengadakan permainan tradisional untuk beberapa kegiatan belajar, selain itu kami melibatkan anak dalam kegiatan bernyanyi, mendongeng, disini kekhasan kami dari TK lain yaitu selalu melaksanakan meditasi dalam memulai dan mengakhiri kegiatan belajar serta melakukan kegiatan yoga setiap dua hari sekali.”. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan bahwa pengembangan bakat seni anak bisa dikembangkan dalam secara sosial seperti creative movement yang merupakan gerak yang dikombinasikan untuk mengekspresikan pengalaman batin dan mengungkapkan perasaan seseorang serta dilakukan dengan memberikan kebebasan pada anak untuk bergerak sesuai imajinasinya dengan memperhatikan waktu, ruang dan penekanan. Faktor-faktor yang berkaitan dengan orang tua juga hendaknya memberikan contoh yang pengembangan bakat seni anak seperti kualitas guru, baik dalam berkomunikasi dengan anak di rumah kerjasama dengan orang tua dan fasilitas sarana sehingga anak akan mudah mencari figur orang prasarana pembelajaran yang tersedia di TK Ratna yang baik dan menjadi tauladan.
